Direct Mail Post Cards The P.S. is the synopsis of the offer, and the response you are seeking in its best, most convincing wording. Short and crisp. Since everyone reads Who reads the P.S.? the P.S. it can be the most effective part of the letter. Whatever your objective is, it should be there in a terrifically attractive form. But if not, just say it again in plain English. Remember, without a response the package fails, so don't be afraid to ask for the response again. Every letter should have a P.S. Than can fit on just a page or two, a long copy letter may work well. Just remember: the letter is where you show the benefits. You can list the features in a bulleted fashion, but the letter copy is benefit-oriented. Make sure it's irresistible to read.

If you don't get a response to your mailing, nothing else matters - nothing else matters. Unless your objective is to lay groundwork for the next mail piece.
